What’s the difference between Arbitr and Aprimo?

Aprimo

Aprimo is a digital asset management (DAM) and content operations platform. It stores, organizes and delivers content assets, runs the workflows that produce them, and adds AI agents for planning, metadata, review, compliance and production. In 2026 it launched Agentic DAM, where those agents work continuously across the content process.

Arbitr

Arbitr is an AI context platform for content. Its governed memory, Cortex, holds what a company has approved (claims, prices, terms and rules), each with an owner, the markets and languages it applies to, its evidence and the period it’s in force. Arbitr’s agents create and check content against that memory, before and after it’s published.

Choose Aprimo If your only priority is managing, finding and governing content assets at scale.

Choose Arbitr If your only priority is making sure what goes out, in every market and language, matches what you’ve approved.

Choose both If you already run Aprimo and want every word checked against what you’ve approved, for every market.

Content already published Scans what you’ve already published and flags what no longer matches what’s approved, including after a decision changes Runtime compliance enforcement across creative tools, CMS and marketing automation, according to its Agentic DAM announcement

Where Aprimo is strong, and where Arbitr leads

Aprimo manages the content you’ve made. Arbitr makes sure what you say is right, every time it’s made.

Where Aprimo is strong

  • Asset management at scale. A recognized DAM leader, named a Leader in The Forrester Wave for DAM, Q1 2026.
  • The whole content process. Planning, work management, review and delivery in one platform.
  • Agents across operations. Planning, Librarian, Critic, Compliance and Production Agents work across the content lifecycle.
  • Visual and creative assets. Compliance Agents check creative assets for brand and regulatory issues.

Where Arbitr leads

  • Content made when you need it. Arbitr creates content from what you’ve approved, as you need it, so nobody hunts for the latest approved file.
  • It starts from what you’ve approved. Every claim, price and rule has an owner, the markets it applies to and the dates it’s in force.
  • Right for each market. Market and language are held separately, so content is right for where it’s going, not a translation of another market.
  • It keeps live content right. When a decision changes, Arbitr finds where the old version is still published, including translations and paraphrases.

Why “right” matters more than “consistent”

Consistency sounds like the goal until you sell in more than one market. The same product page often needs to say different things in different places, and every version needs to be right.

Arbitr or Aprimo: which should you choose?

Aprimo may suit you if

  • Your main need is managing, finding and reusing content assets

  • Much of your content is visual or creative assets

Arbitr may suit you if

  • You publish across markets and languages, and each has its own claims, prices and rules
  • You want content created from what’s approved, as you need it, rather than found in a library
  • You need to know what’s already live is still right when a decision changes

Use both if

  • You already run Aprimo and want every word checked against what you’ve approved, for every market, before and after it’s published

Arbitr vs Aprimo: FAQs

What is the main difference between Arbitr and Aprimo?

Aprimo is a digital asset management and content operations platform that stores, governs and delivers content assets. Arbitr is an AI context platform that holds what a company has approved, for each market, and creates and checks content against it, whichever tool or person wrote it.

Does Arbitr replace a DAM?

It changes what you need one for. A DAM stores finished files, so people have to find the right version and hope it’s current. With Arbitr, content is created from what you’ve approved as you need it, so the words are current every time.

Can Arbitr and Aprimo be used together?

Yes. Arbitr checks content from any source, so text in content managed in Aprimo can be checked against the approved claims, prices, terms and market rules held in Arbitr.

Does Aprimo check content for compliance?

Aprimo’s Compliance Agents check creative assets for brand and regulatory issues before they go to market. Arbitr checks content from any source against the specific approved entries that govern it, by market and language, before and after it’s published.

How is Aprimo priced compared with Arbitr?

Aprimo’s pricing isn’t published in the sources we reviewed. Arbitr doesn’t price per seat; pricing is set with each customer.

Is Arbitr an alternative to Aprimo?

For storing and managing assets, Arbitr isn’t a like-for-like replacement. If your goal is content that’s right for every market, created from what you’ve approved rather than found in a library, Arbitr covers work Aprimo doesn’t present today.
